Renaissance Manufacturing Group, a division of Lawton Standard, is proud to announce our Anniston facility has won International’s prestigious Diamond Supplier Award for 2025.

RMG has had a long, productive relationship with International and we pride ourselves on delivering quality castings to our customers.

What is the International Diamond Supplier Award?

The International Diamond Supplier award honors companies that demonstrate superior performance across multiple areas. This includes product quality, on-time delivery, customer support and continuous improvement.

International hands this prestigious award to their top suppliers each year as a way to recognize the leading global manufacturer’s commitment to excellence across the supply chain.

This award shows that RMG is a top performer when it comes to supplying the worldwide heavy-duty equipment and off-highway markets.

“As global supply chain dynamics continue to evolve, our strong partnerships with suppliers remain a cornerstone of International’s ability to deliver high-quality trucks and buses to our customers,” said Peter Friberg, International’s chief procurement officer.

For decades, customers have relied on RMG Grafton’s high-quality CNC horizontal and vertical machined castings and parts.

Despite changing names a few times over the years, our Grafton location continues to deliver on quality, consistency and customer service.

The History of RMG Grafton

The machine operations in Grafton began as Oetlinger Precision Manufacturing some 40 years ago, a family owned and operated site.

The facility eventually changed its name to Wisconsin Precision Machining and Manufacturing.

In 2019, it was acquired by Renaissance Manufacturing Group.

The facility is now under the Lawton Standard Co. family of companies, as Lawton Standard merged with RMG back in 2023.

Machining Services that RMG Grafton Provides

When it comes to high-quality machining, Grafton rises above the rest with a whole slew of horizontal and vertical CNC machines.

RMG Grafton boasts 14 CNC horizontal machining centers.

The site also uses 5 CNC vertical machining centers.

Grafton also has 9 turning centers, which include 7 horizontal lathes and 2 vertical lathes.

These turning centers include a Trak TRL-1630SX, a Doosan Puma 300L, a Doosan Puma 4100LMB and two Okuma V80s.

More than just Machining at RMG Grafton

Our impressive lineup of CNC machines isn’t the only thing we can do for you at Grafton.

Our capabilities also include pressure testing, manual fixture building and design and hydraulic fixturing.

There was quite a special guest at RMG in Anniston last week.

WWE’s The Boogeyman made a special appearance to pump up the employees and to give them a heartfelt message.

How did the Boogeyman get to Anniston?

WWE wrestling and a foundry, not a match you’d usually hear about.

Well, it turns out Boogeyman, whose real name is Marty Wright, played college football with Lawton Standard-RMG President of Sales and Services Phil Knoebel.

Phil invited Marty to come to Anniston to inspire the hard-working employees at the facility.

Boogeyman’s Wrestling Career

Hailing from a mysterious abyss known as The Bottomless Pit, the Boogeyman first appeared in WWE on SmackDown in 2005.

At first, he just creeped around the locker rooms, scaring other wrestlers. He finally appeared in the ring during Survivor Series that same year.

His go-to snack is live worms, which he first downed during a match in December of 2005. After that, he would always have a handful of worms and often times shoved them into opponents’ mouths.

The Boogeyman took down Booker T and Queen Sharmell at WrestleMania 22.

In 2007, he moved to WWE’s relaunched ECW and finished his WWE career in 2009. However, he did make a surprise appearance at the Royal Rumble in 2015.

And there is good news Boogeyman fans, he’s coming back for this year’s WrestleMania. The big event is Saturday, April 19th and Sunday, April 20th in Las Vegas.

Marty Wright’s Personal Life and Overcoming Struggles

Marty Wright currently owns his own fitness facility in Colorado. He trains people and helps them lose weight through various programs and boot camps.

Wrestling wasn’t easy on Marty’s body, as he hyperextended both knees during some house shows back in 2005.

Marty told the workers at RMG about his scariest moment, where he couldn’t move or walk suddenly at home, as food was cooking on the stove.

He relayed to the workers that he didn’t give up, and through his belief in God and hard work was able to work himself back into good health.

In 2023, Marty underwent surgery to repair one of his old injuries. He tweeted out “Through adversity, one only builds character. Fuel to the fire.”

Well before his wrestling career, Wright played college football at Tarkio College in Missouri with RMG President of Sales and Services Phil Knoebel.

Celebrating our RMG Workers

Along with hearing from the Boogeyman and getting plenty of time to take pictures and get autographs, the employees at RMG were also treated to some great food.

The team-building event included two food trucks featuring burgers, wings, barbecue pulled pork, ribs and much more.

The picnic-like atmosphere was a great way to cap off a wonderful quarter at RMG.

We appreciate the hard work our employees at RMG put in every day to churn out high-quality castings.

The Lawton Standard Co. has recently combined with Renaissance Manufacturing Group (RMG) and its 160 team members as part of its expansion strategy. The Lawton Standard Co. is a family of companies made up of specialists in high alloy and complicated metallurgical castings. Whether iron or steel, Lawton Standard is closing the generation gap in foundries, bringing manufacturing back onshore, and positively impacting communities.

Alex Lawton, CEO of Lawton Standard, says, “What started as two long-standing, independent, foundry-based companies in 2019 is evolving into a multi-location, multi-faceted supplier with the best cultural and process characteristics. With the addition of RMG and the shared long-term vision of the two formerly separate companies, our services offering is making a major leap forward. We’re eager to continue working on raising the standard for casting-related solutions. There is much to do to realize our goals, but as always, we aim to be both a trusted source and resource providing value to those who buy from, work for, and sell to us.”

Phil Knoebel, formerly President of the standalone RMG, will join Lawton’s leadership team and head the RMG-Lawton Standard Sales & Services (RMG) segment. Knoebel says, “It has been a pleasure to get to know and work with Lawton Standard. Each team member has been professional, accommodating, and easy to work with, which should make the transition smooth. We are excited for the future of the now combined Lawton and RMG as we further our goal to be able to say yes to all our customers’ needs.”
